These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Zeus Virtue ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Zeus Virtue mobile application (the "App") and the website at virtue0026.com (the "Website"). By installing, accessing, or using the App or Website you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App or Website.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except as permitted by applicable law.
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App.
- Distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the App or any of its content.
- Use the App or Website for any unlawful purpose or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system.
- Interfere with the operation of the App or attempt to circumvent any rate limits or security measures.
3. Content & Intellectual Property
The App's source code, design, illustrations, the curated wisdom corpus, the codex text, and the visual identity are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The historical quotations themselves are in the public domain; the curation, translation choices, context paragraphs, and accompanying illustrations are not.
Your journal entries, photos, and reflections are your content. You grant us no licence to them — they live only on your device.
4. Educational Purpose & Disclaimer
The App is provided for educational and personal-development purposes. The breathing exercises, meditation timer, and reflection prompts are general wellness practices and are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
The historical and philosophical content is presented for cultural and educational purposes. It does not constitute religious teaching or endorsement.
5. Updates
We may release updates to the App from time to time to fix bugs, improve stability, add features, or comply with platform requirements. Some updates may be required for the App to continue functioning.
6. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services for install attribution, optional notifications, and platform distribution. Use of those services is governed by their own terms, which you can review on each provider's website. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
7. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or Website if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, the licence in Section 1 ends immediately.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP OR WEBSITE.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged in the App or here on the Website. Continued use of the App or Website after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms.
